An academician and an artist. Sushma did her MA (Fine Arts) from Punjab University and PhD from Chhatisgarh and is currently teaching in a college. She initally made some works in water colour on nature- trees appeared red, blue or the objects could be seen in semi-abstract forms with bold strokes.
Later style show human faces with minimalistic lines again in semi-abstract shapes. Everyone has many faces- those faces sometimes would be with pen ink on paper and sometimes with mixed media.
Her works have figured in Confluence ’12 and in Confluence ’14 – International Art Contest Exhibition Delhi, in a national ICAC national contest, Mumbai and National Contest by Kalidasa Akademy , Ujjain She has participated in 20 solos and group shows. She exhibited twice in LKA, Delhi and twice in LKA, Chandigarh besides other shows.
