Search for creativity has always triggered Mohit’s inner senses all through. Always fascinated by the human face and figure, he explored scenic world with an expression of his inner self through art. This and an admiration of life’s creations translated into creative expressions through his brush.
As a traveler, his passion to capture uniqueness and an eye for detail added to his narrative style. He loves to practice photorealism, besides experimenting with abstracts as well.
As he emerged through life, in the early stages this passion for painting was dominated by a sense of joy and pride. As he exhibited his works during early eighty’s, his precision was truly recognized through local forums. His forms were varied, from oil to water colours and from wash to batik expressions, and they encompassed multiple media.
His tryst with reality of work, family life and professional endeavours took a toll on this expression of colour and for a large number of years was limited to decoration of his living spaces.
For the last few years, he returns to this truly wonderful world of art with water colour, oil creations and acrylic expressions to seek his inner peace & self, with the simplicity of a child and the touch of a professional.
He participated in a few group exhibitions in the last three years in Bengaluru.
- 2011 – Group Show at Rennaisance Gallery, Bangalore
- 2014 – He had a solo show at the Chitrakala Parishath, which was widely appreciated for the detailing and brilliance.
He quit his job of an accounting BPO at a senior level to pursue his creativity. He is a chartered accountant, a law graduate and a six sigma master black belt by qualification.
